About the Workshop

Cast.i.ng Acting Workshop is a series of one-day online workshop targeted at upcoming/budding actors. The aim is to help them get mentored by top Nigerian Casting Directors on how to better position themselves for roles in the Nigerian Film/TV Industry. This workshop brings some of the best Casting Directors in Nigeria to Actors via the Cast.i.ng platform.

This particular edition titled "HOW TO INCREASE YOUR VISIBILITY AS A BUDDING ACTOR" brings in Biodun Stephens to help you understand what being visible means, what you have to do in order to increase your visibility as an actor— the MAGIC FORMULA that can increase your chances of landing roles in the film industry.

This workshop is designed to teach you how to sell your uniqueness and prove your talent. You'll learn how to sell yourself as a budding actor through your showreel, IG posts, YouTube channel, etc. Biodun will be speaking to participants from her wealth of knowledge on what type of products they most fit into and what they have to do in order to get call backs.

Biodun Stephens

Film Director, Writer, And Producer

Biodun Stephens is a Nigerian film director, writer and producer, who specialize in romantic drama and comedy films. She is also the founder of Shutter Speed Studios Biodun Stephen began her film-making career in 2014, with the release of The Visit. The film was praised for minimal yet insightful cast, as well as the story and originality. It received two nominations at 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards in Lagos.

In 2017, a film she produced, Picture Perfect which was directed by Tope Alake received five nominations, and won two awards at the 2017 Best of Nollywood Awards, for categories best actor in a lead role (Bolanle Ninalowo) and best use of food in a film. She also won best director award at the 2016 Maya Awards (Africa). Her filmography includes but not limited to;

Biodun Stephen is an alumna of Obafemi Awolowo University, where she studied philosophy. After-which, she underwent practical film production training at London Film Academy.
